EMDR
EMDR helps you process and recover from past experiences that are affecting you now.
EMDR helps you process and recover from past experiences that are affecting you. It combines talking therapy alongside eye movements or tapping to process emotions, beliefs, bodily sensations, and images, helping you overcome difficult experiences in your life.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) was developed by Francine Shapiro in 1987. It is a therapy used to treat PTSD and many other difficulties.
It follows an eight-stage process starting with assessment.
EMDR is recommended by NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence).
EMDR is not a form of hypnosis. Clients remain fully alert and in control throughout treatment.
