About Bristol CBT & Psychotherapy

Bristol CBT & Psychotherapy

Bristol CBT & Psychotherapy offers Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy and EMDR to individuals of adult and adolescent age.

We strongly believe in the CBT principle of collaboration between therapist and client. Together we will establish goals which are meaningful to you, ensuring you get the most out of therapy and move forwards in life. We offer a friendly and down to earth approach along with a safe and supportive environment, enabling you to explore your difficulties at your own pace. Effective therapy relies upon developing an individualised treatment based on a psychological formulation of your difficulties and life experiences. The core principle to my approach is being person-centred. We believe it is important you receive the right therapy for you which means the first aim will be an assessment, from which a shared understanding of the problem(s) will inform the next steps in treatment.

We also offer CBT supervision to trainees, accredited practioners & those in the process of applying for accreditation with the BABCP. We can offer both individual or group supervision

We can provide teaching / guest lecturing for universities and colleges on NICE recommended CBT treatments and common mental health problems.

We can offer group therapy for:

  • Anxiety management
  • Stress management
  • Relaxation
  • Emotional intensity
  • PTSD / CPTSD
  • Low mood
  • Low self-esteem

These can be based in schools, NHS services, private mental healthcare organisations and workplaces.
